Welcome to the third annual policy impact and public engagement conference.

Brought to you by the new University of Nottingham Institute for Policy and Engagement, the conference is aimed at researchers, academics and professional staff across all disciplines working in or supporting policy impact and public engagement. The day will offer a range of training options to suit all experience levels.

This year's focus is on the civic role of universities and how our research and expertise help us meet one of our core values: 'sustaining and improving the places and communities in which we are located'.

The conference will be opened by Professor Shearer West, Vice-Chancellor and President of the University of Nottingham. Plenary speakers include Rachel Wolf, former adviser to the Prime Minister, and Professor Simon Mosey, Director of the Haydn Green Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

A mini Pecha Kucha showcase will see colleagues from across university share lessons they have learned from working with the local community.

The afternoon breakout sessions feature a range of workshops across key policy and public engagement topics. Whether you are completely new to policy and public engagement, or you are looking to build on existing experience with further skills and knowledge, you are sure to find a workshop that will meet your requirements. Registration for indidividual workshops has closed but you will be able to make your workshop choices on the morning of the conference, depending on availability.

Conference agenda is available here.

This event is free for academic and professional staff from the University of Nottingham. If you do not work at the University but would like to attend, please email us at politicalaffairs@nottingham.ac.uk.
